STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
ASAP is dedicated to providing a safe and constructive after school experience. We encourage students to engage with their peers. We strive to enrich their academic and creative experiences while providing an entertaining, well-structured environment.

ADMISSION
Students are admitted on first come, first served basis and total enrollment is limited to maintain a proper staff to student ratio.  All registration fees, deposits and forms must be received at the time of registration.  ASAP does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, marital status, disabilities, or sexual orientation.

Johnson Students -
Students will be bussed from Johnson Elementary School to Memorial Elementary School with an ASAP staff member supervising.  Students will check in with the assigned ASAP staff member at Johnson immediately after school dismissal. Students are then free to go to a teacher's room for extra help or to attend any after school clubs/activities until 3pm when students gather in the cafeteria with the ASAP staff member before going outside to meet the bus.

OPERATING SCHEDULE
ASAP is open Monday-Friday from school dismissal until 6pm.  The students are given a light snack as soon as they arrive and then are able to chose from a variety of activities including various arts/crafts projects, board games, and gym activities.  ASAP offers an one-hour "Homework Help Session" for students where they can ask questions, have their homework/assignment notebooks checked, or even be paired up with a Natick High School student tutor.

ASAP currently operates on the Natick Public School Calendar and is therefore closed on all school holidays and vacation weeks. ASAP is CLOSED on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

ASAP plans to operate a "revised" program with a separate sign-up and fee of $65/day during most school vacations in 2010-2011.  The program hours plan to remain consistent during the school vacations: 7am-6pm.  A complete ASAP 2010-2011 calendar will be available immediately after the district's school calendar is finalized

PICK-UP POLICY
ASAP closes promptly at 6pm.  It is your responsibility to pick up your child(ren) or arrange for someone on your approved pick-up consent list to pick them up no later than 6pm and sign them out daily in our parent sign-out book with a signature and time of pick up.  Parents and all authorized pick-up persons should be prepared to show picture identification to the staff until familiarity is established. ASAP staff will not release your child to anyone not included on your authorized list. It is your responsibility to keep ASAP informed of any changes to phone numbers, addresses, emergency information, pick-up consent list etc. in writing.
Late Fee Policy - There is a $10 late charge for every 15 minute increment a child is late to be picked up.

EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES

Unexpected School Closings: ASAP is automatically closed whenever the Natick Public Schools are closed or released early due to weather conditions.  In the event that a storm develops during after school hours, ASAP reserves the right to close before 6pm.  In this event, ASAP will make every effort to give parents a 24 hour notice.  However, in the event that this is not possible parents will be called to pick up their child(ren) early.

Schedule Changes: ASAP requires advance written notice for all changes to your child(ren)'s attendance schedule. 1-month notice is required for withdrawal from the program and 2 weeks notice for any schedule changes. If the required amount of notice for withdrawal or schedule change has not been given, the change will either take effect the next billing period or your deposit will be applied and credit will not be given.

Drop-In Days: If you need your child to attend ASAP on a day they are not scheduled, you may request a drop-in day by phone or in person at least 24 hours in advance for a $25.00 fee. All drop-ins are subject to availability.

Early Release Days: ASAP is open for ALL early release days except ASAP is CLOSED the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. ASAP plans special activities for each early release day. Sign-up for early release days will be available several weeks prior to the early release day. Spaces are limited to allow for a reasonable staff to student ratio. At the time of sign-up an early release fee will be due to cover the provided lunch, transportation if necessary, as well as, the costs of the activity. Fees range from $20-$30 depending on the activity of that early release day.

Middle School - The Middle school programs will sometimes go off-site on early release days and ALL ASAP staff members attend off-site early release day activities; there is NO coverage left at Wilson or Kennedy Middle School. All students not attending the early release day activity are required to make alternative plans on that day.

Absences and Late Arrivals: Please call the ASAP cell phone for your child's program if a student will be ABSENT or LATE coming to the program for any reason.
