PTO

The Johnson School PTO is a volunteer organization made up of dedicated parents whose goals are to: enrich the educational experience for our children, support the teachers and staff, and serve the community as a whole.

Membership for the PTO and its committees is open to all members of the Johnson School community.  Meetings are open to the public, and all parents and teachers are welcome.  The school staff is represented at each meeting by the principal.

The PTO meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM. Meetings typically last 60 to 90 minutes.  Scheduled dates and times, as well as announcements of featured speakers, will be posted in the Gazette.  There are several standing committees, and ad hoc committees are formed as needed.  There are also several fundraising and social events throughout the course of the year.   Events are announced in the Gazette and by way of parent notices. The PTO Co-Chairs set the meeting agenda, which includes: a review of the previous meetings minutes, guest speakers (if any), updates on PTO and school activities, reports from the principal and school-wide and town-wide committees, and any other pertinent business.  Parents wishing to add an item for discussion to the agenda may do so by contacting the co-chairs prior to the meeting or by raising it at the PTO meeting.
