Tuesday March 9 2010 T-day

• Reminder to all students participating in Annie rehearsal tonight, please plan to arrive at 5:45 so rehearsal may begin promptly at 6:00.
• Annie tickets are on sale today through Friday during lunch and in the office.  Tickets are $5.00.
• There is a Jazz band rehearsal after school on Wednesday in the Band room.
• Today is a release day.  The order of periods is 2,3,4,6,7.

• There is a Jazz band rehearsal after school on Wednesday in the Band room.
• There will be no staff meeting for the Kennedy Edge today.  Production layout members will meet in Ms. Pittman's room after school today.  We'll meet as a full group next Monday.

Friday February 26 2010  E-day

• There is no stage crew after school today.
• Next week is world language week.  Make sure to look at the menu for school lunch on the Kennedy website-there will be delicious choices from around the world.  Also, you can listen to announcements or check out the posters in front of the cafeteria to see the menu.
• All food or drink is to be consumed during your lunch period.  There is to be no food or drink taken outside of the cafeteria.
• The all-star game sign-ups are almost over.  The sign up deadline is today, Friday, February 26th.  The all star game will start  a week later on March 5th with only the participants who have signed up by the given deadline.  Sign ups and rules can be found outside the library.
  

Thursday February 25 2010 D-day

• Math club this week will only be for those attending the meet in Weston on Thursday.  All students who are attending the meet should be in Ms. Dewar's room by 2:40 PM sharp.
• There are intramurals today and they will be over in time for the late bus.
• Art club will be meeting today in the Art room.
• Congratulations to the 7th grade student council members for selling the most Shamrocks during the fundraiser fro Muscular Dystrophy.  You all did a great job.  On Tuesday March 2, please go to Ms. Simon's room for your Pizza party.

Tuesday February 23 2010 B-day

• Pennies for Patients was a huge success!  Collectively we raised over $2,400.  for the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society.  The top prize pizza party goes to Ms. Reed's homeroom, which raised over $320.   Second place to Ms. Marshall's homeroom, they raised over $300.  And third place to Ms. McCann's homeroom for raising just under $275.  Thanks you again to everyone who participated.

Friday February 12 2010 T-day

• Students going to Brown School to pick up siblings cannot go to the school until 2:50 on regular days.  No Middle school students are permitted on Brown School property while Brown is still in session.
• Today is the last day we are selling yearbooks.
• Thanks to everyone who came to the Hoopla last night for the 10th annual.  A great time was had by all!
• Today is the last day for "Pennies for Patients".  Thanks to all for all your generosity.  Winners will be announced on the Monday we return from vacation.
• Please check the lost and found shelves for lost items.  All items will be donated to charity during the break.
• Yesterday our boys beat a tough 3 pt. shooting team from Wellesley.  And our girls won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  

Thursday February 11 2010 E-day

Tuesday February 9 2010 C-day

• Hoopla tickets are now on sale.  The are $5.00 each.
• PTO would like to thank everyone who came to Family Pizza Night and the Book Fair last night.  We appreciate you showing your support for our school!  We had a great time.
• There is no Jazz band this week due to the release day on Wednesday.
• This is the last week that yearbooks will be on sale.  You have until Friday to bring in your $21.00.
• Don't forget this week is Bookfair.  You can ask your teacher for your book fair schedule but don't forget to bring in your money.
  

Monday February 8 2010 B-day

• The full Kennedy Edge staff will meet after school today in the upstairs cafeteria.  New members are always welcome.
• There is no Jazz band this week due to the release day on Wednesday.
• Week 2 of Pennies for patients begins today.  Everyone is doing a great job.  Keep up the good work.  We have collected 13,585 pennies so far.
• Annie will rehearse today as scheduled.  See Mr. lane with any conflicts.
• Hoopla tickets are now on sale.  The are $5.00 each.
• The 5th and 6th grade qualifying round for the Hoopla Half time show will be held on Monday after school.  Anyone interested should plan on staying after school.  We will be done in time for the late bus.
• Tonight is Family Pizza night from 5-7:30 in the upstairs cafeteria.  Tell all your friends to come.  See you tonight.

• Congratulations and thanks go to Ellen Dunleavy, Rachel Manoli, and Anna Pearson who led the fundraising for Haiti.  They raised over $350.00 for the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.

• Reminder to all Student Council members who signed up to help at the book fair.  Please be in the Library this Friday at 2:15 and please have transportation home arranged.

• Coffee with Grade 5 Teachers
• Donations for the Haiti fundraiser are being collected today through February 5th.  There is collection box outside the office and two others at the end of the lunch lines.  This is completely voluntary and any amounts are greatly appreciated.  Even spare change you have around.  Millions of people have been affected by this tragedy and your donation could make a difference.

• Medfield came to Kennedy and lost to our terrific boys team.  Our girls battled and kept the game close as fans were on the edge of their seats watching the exciting matchup.

• Yesterday was a special day for our Boys and Girls Basketball teams.  Our boys won a tough game and played well and YES our girls beat a very tough team.  Our teams were terrific!

• Our Hoops for Heart fundraiser is over.  As a school we raised $1,282.55.  Thank you to all who participated.

• The Library is closed today except for keyboarding.  It will not be open this afternoon.
• The Kennedy Speech club will meet on Wednesday after school with Mrs. Massar.  All students in all grades are welcome.

Thursday January 14, 2010 D-day

• Today is a release day, school dismisses at 11:30.
• The Kennedy boys and girls played great games against Wilson.  Our boys won big and our girls played tough throughout the game.  We travel to Ashland next Tuesday.
• There is no Castaways on Monday.....we will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday next week from 2-4pm
  
  

Wednesday January 13, 2010 C-day

• The Speech Club will meet today with Mrs. Massar after school.  We will meet on Wednesdays from now on due to Annie rehearsals.  All students in all grades are welcome.  
• The Castaways will rehearse today from 2-4 PM as scheduled.
• There is a Jazz band rehearsal today after school in the Band room.
• There is a Kennedy vs. Wilson basketball game today.  You may come back at 3:15 to see the game but you cannot hang around the building from dismissal until that time.
• The Annie rehearsal schedule has been changed for today.  We will rehearse scenes 7-8 and the rehearsal will be from 2-3.

• Our boys basketball team won against Hopkinton yesterday.  Our girls lost in a tough match.  We play Wilson home tomorrow.
