I am honored on a daily basis to be the principal of Memorial School. On Monday, March 3, 2014 I visited every classroom and tried to capture what I see every day.
When I visit classroom I regularly see:
Students giving extraordinary effort
Teachers delivering high-level instruction
Specialists instructing fine arts and athletic skills
An overall culture that embraces the challenge of becoming the best school in the Commonwealth.
Finally- students having fun and enjoying their day at Memorial! Click here to view a “Day at Memorial”.
Hello Memorial Families,
We would like to extend our thanks to all our volunteers/visitors. We value the help we receive from parents enormously and realize that we would be unable to provide such quality experiences for the children without your time and expertise.
We want our school to be open and welcoming to all who would like to support the children. We also want to encourage parents and other adults to help teachers in a variety of ways. However, our overriding concern is for the safety of the children in our care. Memorial School, in cooperation with our staff and school council, have created a document to detail our school’s volunteer/visitor expectations. This document is meant to ensure that the children, while benefiting from as much help and support as possible, are provided with the best possible security. Memorial expects volunteers/visitors to act honestly and openly in their duties and exercise a reasonable degree of care and diligence in expressing views about school matters.
Click here to view the Volunteer/Visitor Expectations document and complete the form that you have read it and understand. Click here to sign off that you have read the document. Starting March 1st, all volunteers and visitors (i.e. mystery readers, library, PTO volunteers, lunch with students in cafeteria) must have signed off that they have read the document.
Thank you for your continued support and help to make Memorial School the best school in the commonwealth.
