Hello Memorial families,
Thanks so much for offering to help clean-up the Memorial playground as part of our Earth Day events organized by the Community Action Committee. I’m thrilled to say - we’re on!
The snow has melted and it looks like we'll have sunny skies and mild temps (forecast says 67!) for our clean-up on Sunday, April 12th from 2-4PM.
Please bring along:
- A rake
- Shears/pruners - if you have them
- Spade or small shovel
- A water bottle
We’ll break into “teams” and get to work cleaning debris off the playground, outdoor classroom space, tennis courts and other public spaces, and we’ll prep the garden beds around the school for new plantings. Unfortunately, we have not been able to access the supplies to repaint the US map and the four square and half court lines on the hardtop but that is on the wish list for Mr. Plant!
If anything has changed in your availability, please let me know. I can be reached by email or on my cell 413-320-9099. And, feel free to invite another friend or family to come along. Many hands make light work!
Lemonade and cookies for all volunteers!
Many thanks to all of you for volunteering your time, and to Mr. Plant who is helping to coordinate the activity, and joining us on a Sunday to lend a hand. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday at 2!
