The Parent-Teacher Conference:

Parent-teacher conferences provide a great opportunity for you to talk with your child's teacher about what your child is learning at school and how you can support this learning at home.

Parent-Teacher conferences supplement the information conveyed by progress reports by focusing on students' specific strengths and weaknesses in individual subjects and generalizing the level of inter-curricular skills and competence.

Mock Conferences:

Watching is powerful learning.  Our teachers created mock conferences to show families the strategies and possibilities of a powerful conference.

Regular School Day:

  • Arrival between: 8:38 - 8:50 am
  • Instructional day: 8:50 - 3:05 pm
  • Dismissal: 3:05 pm

Early Release Days

  • Arrival between: 8:38 - 8:50 am
  • Dismissal: 12:35 pm/No in school lunch

Families cannot email teachers to request a child be dismissed early.  A written note that is confirmed in the office is the proper form of notice.

Tardiness: All students arriving after the start of school (8:50 am) must be signed into the office by a parent/guardian prior to attending class.  Please do your best to have your child to school on time.  Tardiness causes interruptions in the educational programs and in the study habits of other students.

Reporting an absent/tardy child: Parents are expected to call the school as soon as it is determined that a child is to be absent or tardy.  For your convenience, an answering machine is installed at the school (absence line 508-647-6591) that will receive and record your calls 24 hours per day. If you choose to send a note to the classroom teacher the absence line must ALSO be called per school policy. If your child is tardy due to a well doctor visit/annual physical please provide a copy to the clinic when your child arrives back at school.

Children are not allowed to transport medication between home and school, this must be done by the parent or designated adult. This includes over the counter medications.
