Transportation Update
DESE changed the restrictions on busing for some areas of the schools' system, so our Transportation Coordinator will be adjusting waitlists to accommodate whoever we can for transportation to school now. She will reach out to you with this information if you are on a waitlist.

NOTE: Increased busing capacity means that students will be allowed to be assigned a seat that may be with another student who is not in your family. This is now allowed. It is not a violation of the rules.
Reminder about February Break Travel
Our metrics for infection rates and penetration in NPS, Natick and the region have been trending in the right direction. This is due to everyone's diligence.
Please continue to adhere to MA travel expectations and know you will be asked about travel on the Ruvna on the Sunday of February Break, prior to our return to school, so we can ensure staffing. The Board of Health will execute fines for lack of adherence to travel and quarantine expectations related to travel.
Have a great weekend & break.
Best,
Anna

KMS Principal Search: Parent Forum on February 23 @ 7pm
As you know, Andy Zitoli has announced that he will be retiring at the end of this school year. While we will celebrate his service and accomplishments in the spring, now is time to begin the process to select his successor.
Dr. Nolin and I (HR Director, Marianne Davis) invite you to meet with us on Tuesday, February 23rd at 7 p.m. to review the search process and to hear your feedback about important qualities, experience and competencies you will be looking for in the new Kennedy principal. We are also excited to hear your thoughts about short and long term priorities that you believe should be set for Kennedy, and guided by the new principal.
Here are links to the search timeline and process. The school council will be reaching out to parents and faculty, seeking volunteers to serve on the interviewing committee on 3/11 and 3/12.

BACK IN ACTION! Join the Superintendent's Service Brigade.
We have a need for student volunteers in grades 5-12 to help community members in need this winter. Shoveling is the greatest need, especially for the elderly. Social distancing will be practiced.
If you are interested sign up here: Superintendent's Service Brigade.
FYI: Website Maintenance During February Break
During the February school break, the Natick Public Schools technology department will be working with our website vendor to perform some technical upgrades to each school's website. During this time, each school's website may experience intermittent availability.
