Natick Music Lesson Program

Natick Public Schools Music Lesson Program

 Lessons, 2022-2023

Lesson costs:
Group (3 or more): $235 per semester
Duo (2 students): $275 per semester
Private: $400 per semester

Payment is due before lessons can be scheduled. Please note that there is a $25 registration fee for the first semester to cover administrative costs.

Lessons are offered to all band students 4-12, and all string students 3-12. It is expected that all students take lessons to be successful in band and orchestra. Students can not be successful without lessons from an expert on their instrument.

Lesson pricing is per semester. (15 weeks of lessons per semester.) Lessons are 30 minutes per week, except by request for 45 or 60 (with a pro-rated cost).

Lessons for elementary students are during the school day, once a week. Lessons for middle and high school students are scheduled after the school day. We try to accommodate all requests for times and days, but this is not always possible.
Further information about registration is here.

Students in grade 9-12 will now register and pay through the same system as middle and elementary levels.

The following links bring you to registration for Fall 2022 Music:

3rd grade (strings only)
4th grade (strings/winds/brass/percussion)
5th grade (strings/winds/brass/percussion)
6th-8th grade (strings/winds/brass/percussion)
9-12 (strings/winds/brass/percussion/voice)

Payments for lessons can be made by check to:

Instrumental Music Payments
15 West Street
Natick, MA 01760
Attn: Craig Chisholm

Please note that over the summer, checks may take a few weeks to clear.

January 25, 2023: *At this time the link to Unipay is not working. We are working on the problem.*

Or use a credit card/debit card for payment through Unipay. This method is also noted on the sign up form. The instrument choice box on the Unipay site is overridden by whatever you choose on the registration document, so if your instrument is not listed, please feel free to put whatever you want in there.

It is always our recommendation that students in middle school take private lessons; this kind of personal attention is most effective for learning. We acknowledge that it is more expensive. Students at our elementary schools will be placed in class or duo lessons.

Band And Orchestra

Elementary band and orchestra are before the school day, once a week. (This differs by school start time, and will not necessarily be the same day as the lesson).

Times for Band and orchestra (day for each TBA):

Brown, 7:45-8:25
Lilja, 7:45-8:25
Memorial, 8:00-8:40
Johnson, 7:40-8:20
Ben-Hem, 7:30-8:10

Middle School Band, High School Band, and High School Strings are scheduled classes.

Middle School Orchestra this year will be offered during WIN block. Through attrition, orchestra will become a class scheduled the same way as band as the number of students involved increases over the next few years.
