It is always our recommendation that students in middle school take private lessons; this kind of personal attention is most effective for learning. We acknowledge that it is more expensive. Students at our elementary schools will be placed in class lessons.

Band & Orchestra

Elementary band and orchestra are before the school day, once a week. (This differs by school start time, and will not necessarily be the same day as the lesson).

Times for Band and Orchestra 2025-2026 (possibly subject to change):

Orchestra:
Tuesday: Memorial 8:00
Wednesday: Ben Hem 7:30
Thursday: Lilja 7:45
Friday: Brown 7:45

Band:
Tuesday: Lilja 7:45
Wednesday: Memorial 8:00
Thursday: Brown 7:45
Friday: Ben-Hem 7:30

Middle School Band, High School Band, and High School Orchestra are all scheduled classes.

Middle School Orchestra Grade 8 this year will be offered during WIN block, but 5th through 7th grade orchestras are scheduled classes. Through attrition, 8 orchestra will become a class scheduled the same way as 5th and 6th grade orchestra as the number of students involved increases over the next few years.

Instrument Rental

Lesson costs are separate from instrument rental.
