The Natick Public Schools require the following procedures to verify pupil absences and address pupil safety concerns in Grades Pre-K through 12: Parents are expected to call the school as soon as it is determined that a child is to be absent. For your convenience, an answering machine has been installed in each school to receive your call at any time, day or night. Please call as early as possible. (See below for phone numbers.)
We encourage you to call on the day prior to the child's absence if you know such will occur: medical appointments, out-of-town visits, etc. School personnel will call any parent who has not notified the school on the day of the child's absence. In case there is no answer at home, school personnel will contact the parent at work.
